This was a prehistoric butterfly/moth sculpture I created for the 1998 film "Phantoms".
The movie was an adaptation of a Dean Koontz's book under the same name.

read the book and also saw the movie. koonz is my fav horror/thriller writer, but the movies always disappoint, (except for the efx parts) i figure they just can't match up with storytelling from the book or the imagination the mind conjures up while reading them, oh well.

I immediately recognized this moth creature, this is very cool.

i remember the film,there was a fangoria article as well i think with some pics of this and the faceless model.
