Artist's Comments

This was a latex mask I made in my teenage years for my portfolio. The paint job is a little highlighty...and if I were to redo this today, I would pour it up in silicone to create a more realistic transparency to the skin.

I also do sculpture for the film industry.

*jaw drops* this is really good,
and eerily reminds me of Peter Boyle.

Amazing detail and realism.
I'm curious. How did you get so good at such a young age? Was it taught to you by family who also worked in the industry?

My Grandmother was an artist and she kind of planted the seed very early...also I started working on fx movies by age fourteen. Being around adult artists during my teen years really helped me a lot.

I wish i had such inspiring figures when I was young. I was raised on a horse ranch till I was 15 in the small town of Ukiah, California. So basically the things I wanted to learn were impossible for me to reach. Kind of still are due to money situations now. Its always nice to see somebody who has achieved their dreams. :)

Dreams come and go and come back again...I have seen many people strike artistic gold at different periods in their life. I have had my own times were things were not great. We just have to keep going and trying and good stuff does happen from time to time.
