I was watching something and saw a listing for a TV show called Night Man and remembered I had worked on it. So after searching a bit, I had found some photos. I also remember that something happened to the mold that you make the suit out of and we had to re-sculpt this very fast. This was a thirteen hour marathon sculpture that I and another artist did so that the suit could be done on time for set. It was a very simplistic design so we were able to finish it, but it is a good lesson how things can go wrong and you have to adapt quickly.

O man I use to watch this all the time when I was younger, I've been trying to remember it's name for years!

Great work by the way!

One of the earlier commenters summed up my awe at your brushing off of the fact that this was a thirteen hour marathon sculpture. You're so intense, even with the smoothest and simplest of designs.
I have a question about the molding process on this, if I may? How many pieces was the mold, and where did you separate them?

Very nice and very fast aswell man! It looks sooo nice and smooth. Must be hard to create such exact symmetry? Well, you've done a great job on it.

You inspired me to start working with clay aswell, but don't know very much about it. Hope you dont mind if I ask you some questions about it. I'm planning to make a sculpture of a vase with flowers that looks like it comes out of the wall in my kitchen. So in the end you will see a quarter of a vase (the rest is in the wall so to speak) and with the flowers the same thing. I'm thinking about a piece of 1 meter wide, 1 meter high and about 15 cm deep (vase) and various depths up to 25 cm deep for the flowers.
Now my questions ;) :
- What kind of clay should I use?
- I guess not all clay have to be baked?
- I probably need to create some sort of wiro thing where I can put the clay around on?

Sorry for this and thank you soooo much in advance for answering (if you will offcourse ;) )
Any suggestions/solutions are most welcome offcourse!

Thanks!

Many wys to do it. You could use sculpey - Sculpey is a product that once you are finished with the sculpture it can be baked to a ceramic like firmness and painted as a final ornament. It will cut out the entire moulding process of regular clay...might be the easiest way to go.

I love that you say, "Oh, ho hum, it only took 13 hours. Simple Job." It looks so great. As a man who loves clay and stop motion, I'm impressed and encouraged.
