Although I do not usually show a sculpture in such an early stage, I really liked the composition and feel already. This is a water clay sculpture about 3 by 2 feet in length. Once I get the measurements and design more realized I hope to refine all the elements. I will sink the bodies in and puff up the bedding and make fabric wrinkles as well as refining the couple’s anatomy.

water clay, like the type u fire in a kiln? im looking for good materials that don't explode if they're not too thick. ans i dont like sculpy

Reminds me of a certain type of late medieval/renaissance era tomb sculpture, which would show the deceased in a state of decomposition...

Looks great!

3 by 2 feet in length? Is that a work for a client?
I'm just asking, because it would be taking up a lot of space for "just" being a personal project.
Or is space (or the lack of) not a problem where you live? ;)

Wow this is an amazing work already.
You immediately start aksing questions and thier "deadness" feels real and immediate.
Whats amazing about that is that not only do you have to instill the implication that there is life, but that profound silence and stillness that comes with its passing.
